The petitioner said that the court had also ordered that in case anyone indulged in the misuse of any property, appropriate action in accordance with the law would be initiated against such a person. The court observed that NAB’s prosecutor kept seeking adjournment for preparing the case for the past eight years. The SHC’s division bench headed by Justice Aftab Ahmed Gorar observed that NAB had filed an appeal against the acquittal but their prosecutor failed to argue the appeal despite the passage of eight years. NAB had booked the former MNA in 2005 and filed a reference against her.
